The simplicity is intentional — each ingredient serves a specific purpose. Everything else falls into three buckets: it leaves residue (oils, balms, thickeners), it masks symptoms (anti-inflammatories, moisturizers), or it serves no purpose (fillers, artificial colors). Nothing is there just to look impressive on a label.

The alcohol sting is a sensation, not damage. It activates the same receptors that respond to heat and spicy food — there’s no actual tissue harm — and it fades in about 10–20 seconds as the menthol takes effect.

You can, but it’s optimized for post-shave use — menthol is most relevant on freshly shaved skin. For a standalone fragrance, Fine® also makes Eau de Toilette (EdT) in the same scents, formulated as a proper spray cologne without menthol.
